Dear journal…

It was about time I added some more activity on this website, so welcome the journal! What will I put on there? I'm not quite sure yet, but I want to share! Thoughts about the web industry, techniques, processes, work — complete or in progress —, inspiration... Anything really :)

I wanted to ship it quickly, so I kept things simple: just the articles and next and previous article navigation, and Wordpress default RSS feed (since removed). Archives, tags, categories... All that can come at a later point (especially as I plan to make a redesign of the whole site at some point this year). Things didn't go quite as planned though (regarding the "quickly", that is). I got a bit lost discovering new tools like Puppet and rewriting the template to use more up-to-date techniques.

Not a bad way of delaying things in the end: I've shipped the journal and those wanderings make good material for a couple of articles. The first ones are on there way, actually, and I plan to get something out at last once a week. My writing still is pretty slow (hopefully I'll improve): write... erase... write... erase... write... But I must say I'm really excited with that journal thing. Hope you'll enjoy reading it :)

Update: The "Journal" link in the menu will always send you to the latest post. It's not really handy if you want to bookmark it, however. So I've added the /blog if you want to add it to your bookmarks.

Later update: The "Journal" link now sends to an archive of all the articles for easier browsing
